Grupo Antolin and the University of Burgos sign a new R&D collaboration agreement
The Chairman of Grupo Antolin, Ernesto Antolin, and the President of the University of Burgos, Manuel Pérez Mateos, have signed a collaboration agreement between Grupo Antolin and the General Foundation of the University of Burgos to carry out innovation projects through post-graduate grants and research assistant contracts.
This agreement allows young people who have recently graduated to join the Corporate Innovation Department at Grupo Antolin to start their training in the business world and take part in some of the company's projects in this area. It is worth noting that the collaboration between Grupo Antolin and the University of Burgos goes back to the year 2001. This relationship has allowed many young people trained through this plan to find a position in Grupo Antolin's workforce.
After the signing, Ernesto Antolin underlined that "the business and academic worlds should be moving in the same direction and joining forces to help carry out research. This agreement is a sign of Grupo Antolin's commitment to Burgos and its society".
For his part, Manuel Pérez Mateos, President of the University of Burgos, thanked the business group for "its ongoing support for the University and its contribution to it being able to achieve its essential missions: transferring knowledge to society through university-company relationships using alliances forged over the last few years".
The Chairman of Grupo Antolin and the President of the UBU were accompanied by Javier Villacampa, Director of Corporate Innovation at Grupo Antolin, and Javier Fierro, head of the General Foundation of the University of Burgos.
Grupo Antolin and the University of Burgos expressed their pride at their close collaboration which allows them to provide students with practical training, in this way promoting and driving the entry of recent graduates into the world of work.
The Group's support for the University was recognized in 2009 with the "University-Enterprise" Award granted by REDFUE (Spanish Network of University-Enterprise Foundations), an award which recognizes the best practices in the collaboration between the company and the university, creating an ongoing high quality relationship which has an impact on teaching and research.
