Grupo Antolin awards prizes for innovative solutions to the ANTOLIN i.JUMP challenges
The first three technological challenges of Grupo Antolin's open innovation program, ANTOLIN i.JUMP, have been completed. With this program, Grupo Antolin aims to develop innovative solutions to lead the transformation of the automotive industry, following the trends of the electric and connected vehicle and the digitalization of the processes.
In total, Grupo Antolin has received 73 solutions proposed by engineers, startups, universities and technical centers from 29 countries. The first three technological challenges sought technical solutions for the vehicle interior related to air quality, cooling systems for the electronics and new functions based on smart systems. The goal of the challenges is to enhance passenger comfort and to make for a more pleasurable experience inside the car.
The launch of the challenges was carried out in partnership with ennomotive, the leading open innovation platform for resolving technological challenges.
The air quality challenge was won by the Serbian engineer, Petar Smiljanic. The new smart functions challenge was awarded to Turkish consultant, Can Akgün. Grupo Antolin also gave three secondary awards to proposals from professionals in Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom. In total, the company has given €16,000 in cash prizes.
Grupo Antolin will now work on the potential application of these solutions in the company's processes and products. The company could be assisted by the winners.
ANTOLIN i.JUMP is an open innovation initiative allowing it to work with the crowdsourcing environment to reinforce and accelerate the R&D&I and technological development of the company. Grupo Antolin wants to create an open ecosystem for the exchange of ideas and knowledge in which everyone can take part, including engineers, physicians and other STEM profiles, as well as startups, SMEs, technology centers and universities.
The company is already working on the launch of new technological challenges of its ANTOLIN i.JUMP program.
