Grupo Antolin collaborates with Unicef thanks to the drawings of the children


Grupo Antolin, one of the world's largest manufacturers of automobile interiors, celebrated its traditional Christmas Card Drawing Competition as part of its collaboration with Unicef and with the aim of involving the children of the employees of the solidarity campaigns and the company's activity.

More than 1,700 children of the 26,000 employees of Grupo Antolin around the world participated in the A drawing = A smile initiative, which celebrated its 23rd edition. The children made their drawings about Christmas, the activity of the company, the automotive industry and the mobility of the future.

As part of this competition, Grupo Antolin will donate 12,500 euros (€ 7.25 per drawing) to Unicef to collaborate in the School in a Box campaign, which offers all materials for an entire classroom to help at least 40 children continue their education in times of emergency caused by natural disasters or conflict. This is the sixth consecutive year that Grupo Antolin collaborates with Unicef with its Christmas Card Drawing Competition.

In total, 550 children from Western Europe, 555 from America, 469 from Africa-Asia Pacific, and 147 from Eastern Europe participated in Christmas Card Drawing Competition. The prizes went to China, Spain, Mexico, Czech Republic, India, United States, Germany and Russia.

The prize-giving ceremony was held on December 1 in the assembly hall of the head office of the company in Burgos. Javier Blanco, Corporate Director of Human Resources for Grupo Antolin, was responsible for welcoming everyone. Pilar Arribas, shareholder of Grupo Antolin and Ernesto Antolin, Chairman of Grupo Antolin, handed out the prizes. José Luis Herrero, president of the Burgos Food Bank, and the basketball players of the Miraflores Basketball Club also participated in the event.

All the children received their gift in gratitude for their effort and the enthusiasm with which they live this Christmas tradition. Grupo Antolin is firmly committed to the growth and development of society through its sustainability strategy, based on collaboration, contribution and innovation. In addition to the collaboration with Unicef, this Christmas Grupo Antolin took part in the Burgos Food Bank's campaign to collect food.
