Grupo Antolin made 50,000 medical gowns for hospitals and social centres
4,000 gowns a day and 50,000 gowns in total were manufactured using the material employed for the interior lining of the vehicle headliners. The cost was totally assumed by Grupo Antolin. 62 people and a multidisciplinary coordination team have worked on this initiative since March 23.
The gowns were distributed among hospitals in Burgos, Valladolid and Miranda, as well as among residential homes for the elderly, foundations, private health clinics, primary care centers and pharmacies in Castilla y Leon.
In order that other companies could join the initiative and help with the manufacture of medical gowns, Grupo Antolin shared both the template of its medical gown and the suppliers of the materials that went into making them with public administration bodies (the Spanish Government and the Regional Government of Castille and Leon) and with private entities (Chamber of Commerce, CEOE and Sernauto). The aim was to cover the needs of the as many groups as possible.
The donation of this equipment is an example of Grupo Antolin's commitment to society and to all its stakeholders, especially when faced with such a global health emergency situation. The initiative enabled the involvement of the company suppliers, who also participated altruistically, as well as employees to help in the fight against the pandemic. Congratulations to everyone for the work done.
The initiative contributes to achieving some of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.

- SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth
- SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
- SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities.
