Grupo Antolin opens a new factory in Wuhan (China) with Dongfeng Visteon
Today in Wuhan (China), Grupo Antolin opened a new plant to manufacture headliners and door panels for Renault, PSA, Nissan, Infiniti and Honda. This project is a Joint Venture with Dongfeng Visteon.
The main goal of establishment this factory is to provide to customers (mainly DF Renault and DPCA) products with high quality to fulfill their satisfaction. The JVs will be sure to tap the expertise and experience of the respective shareholders in the implementation of the projects.
Director of Dongfeng Technology strategy and planning department, Miao Mingzheng; Yanfeng Asia Pacific President, Yuan Xinhua; Spanish Economic & commercial counsel in Beijing, Javier Serra; Manager of Wuhan high technology investment management company and the director of the service center, Song Jun; director of GA Asia Pacific, Jorge Juárez, accompanied the Chairman of the company, Ernesto Antolín and Vice chairman of the company, María Helena Antolín, throughout the opening ceremony.
GA started operations in Spain working for the OEM’s allocated there and Renault was in this group. Since the beginning of 90’s, Grupo Antolin has travelled with them to many places to deliver products to different markets. The factory in Wuhan is a good proof of this customer orientation and the interest to go with the customer whenever they need.
To carry out this project, both parts have invested more than €11 million that will expand employment for around 125 people at the end of the year from the current 100 employees.
“We would like to believe that our customer recognize our passion for quality and innovation. This passion allows us to produce with the same level of quality in any of our 161 factories in 26 different countries around the world. Although you can think producing overheads and door panels are quite easy, let me tell you that it isn’t. Take headliner as example: deliver 4,000 headliners every day with a high quality standard is really challenging and it’s only possible for a fistful of high-tech companies”, stated the Chairman of Grupo Antolin, Ernesto Antolín.

Today, GA footprint in China is reaching 17 manufacturing facilities, 15 JIT centers and 2 Technical Commercial Centers with more than 3,700 employees. The footprint shows how a Spanish company is performing in one of the most competitive markets in the world.
