Grupo Antolin partners with Industry Consortium for Advanced Technical Training and SWIC
Grupo Antolin, one of the largest manufacturers of vehicle interiors in the world, recently partnered with the Industry Consortium for Advanced Technical Training (the ICATT Apprenticeship Program) and SWIC (South Western Illinois College), two prestigious training organizations in USA. This partnership will allow Grupo Antolin to recruit highly qualified young people to work in their plants as well as provide apprenticeship opportunities to students by working in a leading automotive multinational.
During the three year apprenticeship, the students will attend South Western Illinois College pursuing a degree in industrial technology while also receiving hands-on experience working in Grupo Antolin's factory in Nashville (USA).
The students will follow an apprenticeship curriculum designed by ICATT Apprenticeship Program, a program of the German American Chamber of Commerce. The ICATT Apprenticeship Program worked with Grupo Antolin to develop the training plan and recruit apprentices as well as collaborated with SWIC in classroom training. It is the only apprenticeship program in the USA Midwest fully benchmarked on the German Dual Education System, an approach recognized globally for its combination of company-specific knowledge, theory, and hands-on learning.
The first two students recently started the innovative program. Upon successful completion of training and apprenticeship exams, they will have gained the advanced skills and experience to begin his career as a Tool and Die Technicians for Antolin Nashville.
