Grupo Antolin reaches sales of 2,594 million euros in the first six months of 2017

  • Grupo Antolin, one the world’s largest supplier of car interiors, reaches sales of 2,594 million euros in the first six months of the year, representing an increase of 2,2% compared to the same period in the previous year.
  • The EBITDA of Grupo Antolin in the first half period stood at 268 million euros and the EBIT reached 183 million. The figures doesn’t include the Business Unit of Seats, after being sold on April 28th.
  • The results reflects the relevant investments planned this year and the launch of new products in some factories. Grupo Antolin has launched the biggest investment program in its history: 900 million euros over the next three years.

Business Units and Territories

During the half year, the Business Unit of Overheads reached sales of 1,082 million euros, the Business Unit of Doors and Hard Trim reached 788 million euros and the Business Unit of Cockpits & Consoles, 564 million euros. The Business Unit of Lighting reached 159 million euros.

At territorial level, Europe reached sales over 1,408 million euros. NAFTA region reached 889 million euros; Asia-Pacific, 245 million, and Mercosur, 39 million.

In this half year, it is worth noting the good trend of chinese market, where Grupo Antolin is making major effort. This effort is being rewarded with significant contracts for BMW, Daimler, Volkswagen, Jaguar-Land Rover, Ford, Geely-Volvo and the biggest chinese automakers.

Commitment to training and innovation

Grupo Antolin understands that training and innovation have a primary role in the manufacturing sector of car interiors. For this reason, has opened his first center of Professional Dual Training in Spain, inaugurated in May in Burgos (Spain). This center joins the one that Grupo Antolin has in Germany.

The spanish center, the first in the sector, will hold 50 students and is born with the goal of becoming a reference in the development of innovative technologies for Grupo Antolin.

Innovation is a strategic priority for Grupo Antolin which has over 70 projects in the research phase and over 30 in the validation phase. Over the last three years, the company has launched 20 innovative solutions.
