Grupo Antolin supports science and technology with the First Lego League
Grupo Antolin also sponsored Conecta2 team from the Juan Soñador Foundation, which participated through its program Connection. In addition, it sponsored the Grupo Antolin Award for Robot Behaviour. The winner was ASTI Aquabots project from Autism Burgos.
More than 300 young people between 6 and 16 years and 34 teams participated in this edition. They came from Cantabria, Basque Country, La Rioja, Galicia and several provinces of Castilla y León.
In its commitment to talent, science and innovation, Grupo Antolin has been sponsoring the First Lego League Contest in Burgos for years. This year the competition challenged the teams to carry out a scientific project to solve a problem related to water management.
First Lego League (FLL) is an international program that encourages young people between the ages of 10 and 16 to take an interest in science and technology through a series of fun projects. They are challenged to find real solutions to problems in society today, through the development of scientific projects and programming of autonomous robots.
The winners will participate in the First Lego League Spain Grand Final, which will be held on March 10th and 11th in Logroño.
The Juan Soñador Foundation is an initiative to support groups that are at risk of social exclusion, especially young people. The Connection Program is aimed at adolescents and their families in situations of social difficulty. It has been carried out in Burgos since 1997.
