安通林集团董事长 Ernesto Antolín 荣获 2014 “年度杰出企业家奖”
The nineteenth edition of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Award from EY, sponsored by BNP Paribas and in collaboration with IESE, now has a winner: Ernesto Antolín, Chairman of Grupo Antolin. The Burgos businessman was presented with the award yesterday by the Minister of Industry, Education and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, in a ceremony held last night at the Royal Tapestry Factory in Madrid which was attended by over two hundred representatives from the worlds of business and academia, including the members of the well-known jury.
The Chairman of Grupo Antolin, the one hundred percent family-owned Burgos manufacturer of vehicle interiors, was chosen for the award from a total of fourteen finalists from thirteen companies. During the award ceremony, Antolín outlined that: "Grupo Antolin's recipe for success is based on common sense, hard work and a little luck. These are the main ingredients, but you have to season them with a pinch of commitment, humility and concern for people".
In this regard, he highlighted the effort of the founders, as well as the commitment shown by all the employees: "On a day like today, I would like to share this award with them. Without their efforts, dedication and commitment I would not be here. Our project for the future is encouraging and I am convinced that the best chapters of our history are yet to be written".
The Chairman of Grupo Antolin will also be the Spanish representative in the global EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award. This will be held in early June in Monte Carlo and will also be attended by the other winners from the various countries where the award is held.
Alongside Ernesto Antolín, five other entrepreneurs have won awards in the different categories: The Family Business Award was won by Josep María Ventura, President of Laboratorios Ordesa; the Emerging Entrepreneur Award went to Pau Relat, Managing Director of MAT Holding; the Internationalization Award was won by Santiago Manuel Martínez, Managing Director of Sedecal and the Award for Innovation was received by Jaume Alsina, President of Grupo Alimentario Guissona. In addition, the Entrepreneur Of The Year Award also has a Social Entrepreneur Award which was received by Luis Cañada, president of Fundación Novia Salcedo.
José Luis Perelli, President of EY in Spain, congratulated all of the candidates for this XIX edition and reaffirmed "the commitment of the firm over the years to entrepreneurship, this being understood as the constant ability to innovate, to create businesses and therefore to generate value for society as a whole". In addition, he ended by highlighting the idea that "entrepreneurship, in its broadest sense, should be in the DNA of every entrepreneur, shareholder, manager or professional".
José Luis Ruiz Expósito, partner at EY and responsible for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Spain outlined "the key role that this collective plays, today more than ever, in strengthening our industrial base and therefore our economic recovery. The vision, courage and leadership shown by the candidates for the award this year has meant that overall, these companies have achieved a growth in their business turnover of over 10% and that together they employ around 22,000 people. All reasons that should encourage us, today more than ever, to continue supporting and recognizing this important group".
